She holds a PhD in Psycho-pedagogy (phonetics) from Mons University in Belgium (BE) and in Romanesque Linguistics (accreditation granted by the University of Lisbon). Professor Véronique Delplancq carries out professional and research activities at national and international levels in the areas of spoken communication, teaching and learning of FL in higher education and inter / multi culturality.
Ana Maria Costa Lopes

Associate professor at the Department of Language Sciences at the Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, Portugal. She holds a PhD in American Studies - American History, Culture and Literature. In addition to the research Professor Ana Maria Costa Lopes has been carrying out in the context of American culture and literature, mainly with regard to the work of the novelist Sinclair Lewis, she has recently been doing research in the field of Portuguese literature, specifically with regard to the function of space as a structuring category of the narrative.
Cristina Amaro da Costa

Associate Professor at the Agrarian School of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu. She holds a PhD in Agriculture Engineering from the School of Agriculture of the University of Lisbon. Her intervention and research areas are organic farming and integrated protection, economic valuation of the environment, with a focus on family farming and women farmers, both at national and European level. She is also a beekeeper whenever she has the time.
Emília de Carvalho Coutinho

Associate Professor at the Health School of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu. She holds a PhD in Nursing Sciences from the University of Porto. Her research areas of interest are transcultural nursing, intercultural mediation, theoretical and philosophical conceptions of nursing, maternal and obstetric care, international classification for the nursing practice.
Isabel Oliveira

Associate Professor in the Social and Human Sciences Department at the School of Technology and Management of Lamego of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu. She holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Aveiro. She teaches foreign languages in degree courses in the area of tourism and secretarial studies. Her areas of interest and research are foreign languages, education in tourism and educational technology.

He holds a PhD in Fine Arts (Multimedia Art expertise), by the Fine Arts College of Lisbon University. Professor José Pereira carries out professional / research / artistic activity in the areas of Fine Arts (with particular emphasis on the fields of Photography, Digital Art and New Media Art), Art Theory and Art Essay.

Areas of expertise: French language and language acquisition in multilingual contexts, language policy and planning and linguistic and intercultural mediation.

Susana Amante

Vsiting associate professor at the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV). She holds a PhD in English Philology from the University of Salamanca and she was awarded the “Doctor Europaeus” Mention, as part of the joint supervision programme with the University of Coimbra. Her research areas focus on Literatures and Cultures, especially those of English-speaking countries, Children's Literature, Language Didactics and Translation.
Susana Cristina Fidalgo

Full Professor in the Language Sciences Department at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu. She holds a PhD in Didactics from the University of Aveiro. Her intervention and research areas are the teaching of English as a foreign language, extensive reading and the acquisition of a foreign language and early foreign language teaching.

She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from NOVA FCSH and is currently visiting associate professor at School of Education (ESEV) and School of Technologies (ESTGV), Polytechnic of Viseu. She develops research within the scope of innovative pedagogies applied to language teaching (English, Spanish, French and Portuguese for Foreigners); and Lusophone and Hispanic Literatures, Cultures and Thought, with special emphasis on comparative Iberian studies.
